Many of the outdoor articles published today are written by outdoorsmen and women just like you. Write your article as if you are sitting around the campfire with your closest hunting/fishing buddies. Outdoorsmen are the best story tellers so you will obviously do just fine. Concerned about the look and feel of your story? Don't be! Our Staff will cross the T's and dot the I's. Just e-mail your story with several photos and maybe you too can have your outdoor adventure published on ' "Article" forum.

When writing your article be sure to include the names of all people involved and don't forget to include your name, along with your hometown and state. What about the photos? The best photos to send with your article are the ones taken in the field with a natural background. The back of the pickup isn't the best place to take a photo! If you are unable to take the photo in the field then try and take some extra time and take the picture in a nice setting whenever possible. The extra minutes you spend on a photo will make the experiences that much more memorable.

TIPS FOR QUALITY PHOTOS

  1. Take your photo in a natural setting such as in the field or on the water.
  2. Photo your trophy before field dressing.
  3. Remove ALL blood and put the tongue back inside the animals mouth.
  4. Keep the sun at the photographers back or in the subjects face.
  5. Use a flash or fill flash when shooting photos in bright sunlight.
  6. For the best results take your photos in the early morning or evening.

Although many outdoor articles are about the monster buck or trophy walleye it is important to remember that some of the most memorable experiences in the outdoors don't involve a trophy. If the outdoor experience was memorable for you then I can guarantee that it would be a great story. Someone's first outdoor experience, a doe, a turkey, or a family outing at your favorite panfish lake or any other game can be a great story.
