I haven't taken any in yet b/c I don't trap.  I'll be calling here after this cold though, but haven't taken anything in yet.  I can find out from a trapper here but it will be on the east side of the state.

$10 coon
$15 mink
$15 badger

Yet to hear yotes/fox/etc yet.  Have heard 10-15 though, not sure how accurate that will be.

I am not well rounded on this trapping or turning in fur thing, but I am quite interested. When you get a fur, what do you have to do with it before you take it somewhere to be bought? and I am in Omaha, where could I take a fur if I get one or get into this idea of trapping? just curious, thanks

Depends on how much you want to do bb grad.  Do  you want to skin the animal you trap?  I'm sure I could do it eventually, but I think it would take me a little bit to get used to.  I don't trap, but I do calling and I don't skin.  I just take the animal in.  I should skin, and will do so if I get more serious about it.  I'll ask around about Omaha, I'm not sure, in the NE part of Nebraska here.

In the Canadian auction skinned coyotes should bring 60-80 dollars for really nice ones. 35 50 For not as nice or if you had to do some sewing. Fox should yop out at 50 dollars for bright red fox with heavy fur. Muskrats they are saying should bring anywhere from 6-10 skinned. There was a guy in Minot buying coons for 25-28 dollars unskinned, but the market in Canada tops should be 40 dollars. Just what I have been hearing. The local fur buyers will not be anywhere close to these numbers because they usually get lots of furs and sell them at these auctions as well. If you are going to stretch your furs and sell them to local buyers, put all your really nice furs in one pile and show thme to the buyer after you settled on a price. Bring out the really nice ones and tell the buyer that you want more for these ones. If you try and put everything together the buyer will say the best ones are good ones and the good ones are all right and will give you less. So hold the best furs until you have settled with your other furs. MY $.02
