To get a better understanding of what third party websites FishingBuddy.com and the TotalOutdoorNetwork should integrate with down the road, we are asking the member base to indicate to us which websites they use.

Please comment on this thread and let us know whether or not you use and/or have accounts on any of the following websites
  • MySpace
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • YouTube
  • Blogger
  • Wordpress
  • LiveJournal
  • Flickr
  • PhotoBucket
  • Windows Live Spaces (MSN Spaces)
  • Other Social Networking Sites?

This will help us to prioritize which websites we integrate with.

For instance, for facebook users, we would develop integration that would allow your FishingBuddy.com Feed (see my feed) to publish to your facebook wall.  Or, the items on your facebook wall could appear within your FishingBuddy.com feed

We would display your MySpace friends list in your profile, we would automatically publish your flickr photos, or your YouTube videos, etc.

Let us know!

Thanks,

Eric

Facebook.... also, with the phones that you can update facebook and twitter, could this mean reports from the field? That could be interesting.

Facebook.
The kill is the satisfying, indeed essential, conclusion to a successful hunt. But, I take no pleasure in the act itself. One does not hunt in order to kill, but kills in order to have hunted. Then why do I hunt? I hunt for the same reason my well-fed cat hunts...because I must, because it is in the blood, because I am the decendent of a thousand generations of hunters. I hunt because I am a hunter.- Finn Aagard

 For those using Facebook:

If implemented, would you want FishingBuddy to write to your facebook wall? - e.g.

Eric started the topic "blahh blah blah" on FishingBuddy.com

Or maybe

Bob posted a new Missouri River fishing report on FishingBuddy.com

Would show up in your feed on Facebook

None of your beeswax.

Not real enthusiastic about the barcode or the microchip chip either.  Just block my shiite if you don't want to have it on here.

Any integration with external sites would be optional per user -

So - if we setup facebook integration, in your profile, you would be asked to "authorize" TON to access your facebook profile, and you would have additional control as to whether we can display your buddy list, your feed, or we can publish to your facebook wall.

It would be totally up to each user
